Austin gets it right when it comes to biking and preserving nature. I couldn't even suggest an improvement to this. You get shady woods, trees old and young, serene waterways, flowers and city views. I can't even do it justice plus its a pedestrian artery to almost everything cool in the city. Catch bats on Congress, drinks on Rainey, food anywhere along the route. You can stradle cityscapes flirting with unaltered nature. Heavenly.

Beautiful place to stroll in the middle of the city. Reminded me of Central Park

Great for a short hike. Not too much traffic and nice serene waters. Went there end of March on a Saturday morning and saw these flowers blooming.

It was our first time walking along the river since we moved to Austin, TX. It was relaxing. The area is appropriate for walking, biking, and spending time for meditation.

We saw a warning sign about it when we were there last Friday (7/24). The city's website (https://www.austintexas.gov/page/algae) also confirmed the presence of the toxic blue-green algae in the lake, as of 7/20/2020.
