Park rangers rude!! Not allowed to sit in the shade at the park in ur car! Rude to rvers and campers visiting town from out of state! Removed the park tables from the splash pad shade for parents. This park is NOT VISITOR FRIENDLY!! THE RANGERS HARASS YOU AND MAKE YOU LEAVE!

Wonderful facility. My great grandkids loved it. Only one other family there. Clean and well maintained. Bathrooms close by. The only major problem, the group of 6 - 8 homeless people , (including a 5 yr old girl which broke my heart). apparently living there, and fully taking over the picnic table and surrounding area. They did not bother us in any way, but it was disturbing to witness. Several of them rinsed/cooled off in the fountains and one of them slept for more than an hour right at the very edge of the splash pad, rather close to several of the fountains, where several young people were playing. Blessings to the kind soul who came thru with water for them. City of Apache Junction can't something be done???

Nice place to take your family/kids for a picnic. You can also walk your pets on a leash (pick-up bags provided) waterpark that the kids & adults can enjoy. Bathrooms & water fountain (very cold). Nice to come and fly a kite on a windy day, not to many trees. Nice park!

There are walking paths around the park as well as out on the desert surrounding the park.
No equipment to play on, but really nice green grass to play in, perhaps playing simple lawn game, maybe even fly a kite.. It's still a very pretty park to visit, but if you want fresh air fun to tire out your young ones, Prospector Park will be a great place to spend time.
Good afternoon did you stop on the button that is on the ground to activate the splash pad? There should also be a phone number down there that you can call and receive assistance. I checked with maintenance and it should be running.
Yes it is
8am-9pm, step on the sensor with a bare foot to activiate.
No grills at this time. But they are making progress and their always having events.
