Unfortunately leaving a callback number is futile; as well as sitting and continuing to hold. Consumers are simply whisked off to other staff extensions and to no avail still nothing is answered or addressed.

DHSS is hit or miss. It all depends on which Division you’re working with, what they can provide and who you get on the phone or in person. It is a government agency so they’re hindered by State and Federal regulations, so that can be frustrating as not everyone is eligible for the services they provide and the eligibility requirements can be confusing. Don’t be fooled into thinking employees have a cushy state job. They don’t. They’re under paid and overworked.

STILL waiting for 4 months for "EMERGENCY" assistance. Called the Governor's office twice and STILL waiting. Apparently my case worker was on vacation when I applied for emergency assistance... so im made to wait to pay my bills.. 4 months and counting!
