Trendy little store with healthy foods, some hard to find teas, tinctures, and aromatherapy oils. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

The Harvest Market has healthy foods that are sometimes hard to find in the standard grocery stores. The pre-made salads and sandwiches are very tasty. The staff are able to answer product questions and guide you to what you are looking for. They stand behind what they sell and accept returns if you are not happy. We noticed the produce to be very fresh. We have some favorites (e.g. Amy's breakfast burritos) and buy them in case quantities to save money. They have expanded their offering of fresh baked goods.

I go to harvest market to grab lunch when I am at my office in Hockessin. The food is amazing, I have many favorites from the curry chicken salad on greens to tarragon chicken salad and my favorite cave girl delights, I'm always happy and satisfied. Each time I'm there I end up buying something else, whether body care products, supplements the store has much to offer. As a side note the staff is especially friendly at the market..Worth the trip

There's a certain scent when you walk into a natural foods market that just makes you feel better. As soon as you walk through the doors of this establishment it seems like you're already healthier. While they don't have a massive selection of everything like the big box stores do, they have a little bit of everything. All of that little bit is organic and even local. It's a joy to be able to select from cheeses that are from the area rather than mass produced a thousand miles away. This is the case with everything there. Yes, items are a little more expensive here, but the health benefits and sustainability are worth it.

Hi Debby! Saturday, February 15, 9am-3pm, is the next time Howe Sharp will be in our parking lot to offer his knife sharpening services. You can learn more about it on our website event calendar here: https://www.harvestmarketnaturalfoods.com/event/sharpen-while-you-shop-20/. Thanks for your interest!
Thank you for your question, Justine. We have 171 varieties of produce in stock; 165 items are certified organic & 6 varieties locally grown without chemicals but not certified. We sell 87 (51%) of these varieties loose, with no packaging. These items include apples & most fruit, potatoes, squash, garlic, onions etc. 52 (31%) of the items come prepackaged to us in plastic bags or boxes (berries, salad mixes, herbs, cherry tomatoes & 5# bags of carrots). We bag the remaining 31 (18%) items here in the store; leafy greens & root crops, cabbage, broccoli & celery. These items wilt & lose nutritional content if left out in an open case. Other stores mist to avoid this, but that leads to soggy wilted produce & fosters the growth of mold & bacteria. We want to keep our case clean & free of contamination. We've observed that many people use a new bag for their items. We take our environmental responsibilities seriously. I'm happy to discuss this issue further if you like. - Bob, Founder & CEO

Hi Diane! Supplements will be 23% off during the month of January, 2019. Thanks for the question!
Yes, we are open until 5pm on Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas!
Unfortunately, we do not currently sell kefir grains, just kefir. We would suggest visiting the Cultures for Health website where kefir grains can be purchased. Thanks for asking!
James - We have store wide sales for every shopper and do not offer a discount for seniors.
There's only the Hockessin DE location. It's awesome!
Yes, we have a range of dried herbs, spices and other bulk supplies that you can purchase by weight. Feel free to call the store at 302-234-6779 if you're looking for something specific. Thanks!
They do. All kinds...I am hoping one day they will carry World Seasonings blends. They are a perfect fit for Harvest Market.
