I am answering my own question...they have four ponds. One with Catfish and three with Bass. You have to have a fishing license to fish there. If you drive into the park it costs money...I think six dollars. Lastly, if you are military, the six dollar charge is waived.

I live in east Las Vegas at the base of sunrise mountain and I was just there at the park last week. I drive alot faster than the average person and with no traffic it took me about 25-30mins. Let's just say the average eta from my location would be 30 minutes and totally worth anyone's time especially trying to escape Las Vegas because this place is like no other and makes you feel like you left vegas and went on vacation. Very peaceful, great getaway and something to do and have fun with the family and our loved ones. Hope you enjoy it as well as my family has @Rocio Silva

I've been there on Easter before, but you should check their website to be sure. I dont know about rc's, but behind the dirt parking lot is a field that I've only seen kite flyers there. I would say probably no around the pond, or at the building's because of the animals and people. But I would give it a shot in the lesser used areas.
