I see ignorant comments here like, "I would drivie150 mile to avoid the town" and 1 star ratings with no explanation; petty and small-minded". I'm a fairly new resident here and this town and the police department have been awesome. An officer pulled over my wife one evening for driving without her headlights on. He treated her with respect and decency. He gave her a warning and sent her on her way.

They take care of their residents and actually see people not skin color. It is such a relief to be able to be black man in the suburbs and not feel like my life is in danger every time a cop passes by and sees me getting the mail, or walking my dog at the park. God bless you all

Miamisburg Police officer that works middle of the night early Monday mornings will lie and throw your belongings in the trash. Good thing it was an emergency and not a criminal thing- scared to think what could happen. Told me to not worry about it and also my black jacket. I found my black jacket in the middle of the street Tuesday afternoon and blanket has still to be found. They wouldn't review cruiser cams or body cams and just side with the officer. I suggest not speaking with or helping them in any way. (Sad I can't give the a negative ⭐ rating.maybe because for once they didn't treat me like a criminal) If you wanna know how honest your officers are check cruiser cams when a civilian tells you the officer was lying.

New to Ohio. I must say, I see a strong LEO presence around E Central and 12th/Miamisburg Shopping Plaza. Haven't had the occasion to interact with any of the officers yet, but I admire how often I see cars patrolling the area. I commented to my sister how I see cars so often, even though this area doesn't seem to have a crime problem -- could be cuz of the frequent patrols! EDIT: Since I did this review, I've had the chance to interact with a police officer in his vehicle. He stopped to ask me some questions about a possible suspect in the area, early on a Sunday morning while I was walking the dog. He was very courteous and attentive, and I appreciated his attitude.

I know this is 4 years old and never got answered. But for future reference for others. If you got a neighbor doing anything not good on your property even parking in your driveway, call the police and kindly let them know what's going on
