enjoyed how close are campsite was to the river very peaceful would have enjoyed it more had we not had such annoying camping neighbors and the camp grounds were more well kept up also if there would have been bathrooms with showers closer by would definitely camp here again though

Nice little campground with spot right on the river. Nice place to kayak or fly fish

The camps have a slope towards the river bank, so they are not as flat a Dogwood or Grapevine. However, the space, the sandy (pebbled) entry to the river is a great plus. Not mucky or muddy. It is a great place to start your floating adventure down river. We loved it.

Not at Hickory, other campsites do. Try Fern, they have RVs and showers. The website will tell you when making a reservation
Any state owned and maintained parks REQUIRE a reservation to be completed and payed for BEFORE setting up your camp. All the start parks also have antibes parking enforcement as well, so make sure you get you parking permit. 1 vehicle permit is included with your camping reservations, however EACH INDIVIDUAL must have a parking permit for EVERY vehicle.
No. They don't allow fireworks in the park, but on the 3rd they have posters around town about a fire works show.
About $20 per night. You can register your vehicle with them online, or stop by their main office in the park.
