Great park with good camping spots, swimming beach, and fishing. Just keep in mind all camping spots are first come, first served and you have to take your trash with you as they do not have dumpsters on site. Definitely a place we plan to revisit.

There is awesome progress with trails and clean up. It looks promising, can't wait to see continued progress. The geese families are growing, the grass and water are clean and inviting.

I absolutely love coming here to camp. At the beginning and through the end of the season! Had our first camp of the year and caught some blue gills thank you central

this is a beautiful park. good fishing, lots for kids to do. a very well spread out primitive section, the camper section is a little tight for my taste. for those without a tent or camper they have cabins with electric and a/c. boat docks, canoe and kayak rental and a shower house. five miles from Anamosa and a walmart if you need anything

I believe so as well not in the swimming area though I don't think
Yes it's a great family campground. There will always be snakes and spiders in nature.
They are now. Only on hard surfaces and can only be parked where a car would park. Also if you are camping, it cou ts as your one vehicle if you park it at your site.
It sounds like they will not allow swimming until next year. They still have a lot of construction to do in the beach area. We have seen kayaks out.
There will be plenty of campfire wood to enjoy
Off road vehicles are permitted on hard surfaced roadways only and must be legally permitted to be driven. License, registration and flag.
It is open to public
Yes there is. Office # (563)487-3541 or Michele (319)481-7987 Website for this information is Www.jonescountyiowa.org/nature-center
18$ for electrical sites
Yes! We have had ours out several times.
The main lake was stocked last fall with fish it will be a few years before the fish are worth keeping and really should not be attemptemted as they would only be killed in the process of catching and releasing. The large pond has fish that are of good size for keeping.
The sites are first come first serve snd no reservations.
No
Call the park ramger
I believe spring 2019.
Call DNR, I'm not sure when it will be ready
Can't answer that it might be a year or better
