Very spacious with plenty of trees for shade. I really enjoy the Steel Days here! Great rides. Sadly, parking is very limited and it’s hard to get in and out of, but other than that, a decent rest spot.

This park on the corner of main street is a great destination for those looking for some open space or to have their kids play on the excellent playground. Benches are interspersed throughout the park, in addition to a pavilion with picnic tables and trash cans. The condition of the park green is in poor condition with many bare spots beginning to appear. Other than a number of trees, there is no vegetation. For a public park right in the heart of AF, it's a shame that it's relatively neglected. Additionally, this tends to be a popular meeting spot for unsavory individuals. Do watch your children.

I just want to let you know, that if I was a kid, this would have been Paradise... As a child, I absolutely loved going to the library. I love reading books. (That may also explain why I had no real life friends, outside of imaginary once, but that's a different story for a different day.) I love that this place is right next to a great big library. That is absolutely amazing. You can go rent a great book, then come sit in the park, and take a journey that you will love. One of my next favorite places to visit, as a child, was the museum. Absolutely loved history. Now, the museum here is pretty small, and not really something you can visit during the winter, but it is still a great option. I love how there is a covered picnic area, as well as a playground area, and a few tables here and there. But really, the fact that it is next to the library makes this truly remarkable. My puppy wasn't all that happy with this place, but I think that's because she's all worn out from the last park and had no energy. Haha.

Gorgeous, clean, and conveniently close to lots of stuff. (Picnic on the fly is easy to do with a grocery store two minutes' walk from the park.) Right in front of the local library, to boot! I miss the days I could actually take a book and read in the sun. If you're reading this, and you can do it... read one for me, okay?
