update: currently eating an order from here that's maybe the best sushi I've had in rochester to date. I'm not going to update the star rating until they repeat it, but hopefully this is a sign they've fixed whatever issues they were having mediocre and a bit overpriced. i eat here probably once a month solely because it's in walking distance and it still tastes good enough. probably not worth patronizing if you don't have the convenience factor

Not really. There is a lot behind but usually pretty full from all the stores. Oxford street usually a good option though beside the school
I grew up in the neighborhood, it's been there in some incarnation since at least 1978 (from memory). I believe it opened as the Tofu House in the very late 60s.
