Well maintained and an easy drive from the city. The Narrows is the headliner here but this is a nice stop. Not a bad place to bird watch. Even has some exercise machines along one trail. Not a very mature forest but it's perdy. Wonder what it looked with the mounds back in the day.

Very peaceful flat path near the river.

Even when the river is low, the water is still deep. When I went it was a little over a foot most other places but here it was about 4 foot. There is wildlife to see along the river like like cranes, hawks, geese, and more. The park has a large, open, grassy area and a big section of sunflowers.

About as lovely as it gets! Just a simple, well maintained trail through nothing but nature. Wasn't very busy, only ran into one couple. There's a few places with amazing views of the river too. A very beautiful and enjoyable stroll for sure. I will definitely be back!
