Father owned a construction company growing up & built several Chinese restaurants in the KC metro (for others) making me VERY judgmental concerning Chinese food. Gold Lion is the best Chinese in the Independence sector & I've been ordering delivery there for years. Located on busy 291, sometimes they get bogged down & take awhile to deliver but the food & portions are worth the wait.

Chicken fried rice hasn’t been that great for the past year the chicken pieces are almost always hard it’s a hit or miss. Crab Rangoon is delicious though my favorite!

The front desk lady is so nice. She always makes sure I'm doing ok, and she's patient. Now the food . . . Oh my God the food. Chef's kiss. The proportions are very well measured. I highly recommend this place for the food AND customer service.

Filling is slightly different, the egg roll has a thicker wrapper than the spring roll.
