GARY ON BROADWAY (AONEMADMANSHOW)
Fast (est) of all the locations I've been to in Manhattan, friendly and very professional .

This is probably one of the better quest labs I’ve been to ! The workers were really kind and helpful at this location . Zurab was my specialist , and he was really gentle and kind. My arm very much appreciated how he didn’t puncture me with force .

Tried to get 3 hour glucose test for prenatal diabetes here. Felt nauseous after some time and asked to lie down. After the second blood draw, I asked if I could lie down again and was told no. Sat in waiting room and ended up feeling so bad that I threw up in the waiting room garbage can. Had to reschedule entire test. When I came back, I asked to make sure I would be allowed to lie down if I were not feeling well. I was treated very unkindly, interrupted, etc. The supervisor told me I can’t lie down for 3 hours. Who ever said anything about that? It’s not like I was trying to not feel well or that I can predict ahead of time whether or not I’ll need to lie down, and if so for how long. The lack of compassion for a pregnant person taking a 3 hour fasting test was so astounding that I decided that I can’t do the test here with these people. The supervisor in particular completely bungled the situation.

Can I walk in this afternoon?
Hi. It's very easy. Go to Quest .com (QuestDiagnostics .com, and search for a convenient location (there are a lot of'em.) The more time you have, the better; last-minute appointments are tough to get if you don't want to go to the outer edge of an outer borough. Have your insurance info ready if you have it, or get a confirmed price before you book it because you will have to pay upon arrival. A doctor's referral is helpful but not required for most tests, but some require one. Pick your date and zip code, and the system will present the closest location and available times. Choose one, and (important!) wait for the confirmation email (or text) and complete it.. The appointment is not booked until that last step, and Quest doesn't really stress that. And last, DO NOT BE LATE. They send a link that you click when you arrive, and I was ONE minute late for an appointment and they would not see me. No matter what I told them, they did not care. You have to rebook, hard to believe in NYC.
Need appointments
Call?
No they take walk ins
Yes. There's a direct number for doctors, though I::vv::$trycan't reff$ffffind it. If the doctor sets the appointment, DO NOT be late. I like Quest, but they are unforgiving about punctuality. And don't show up without an insurance card,! Good luck.
I do not. Sorry.
Technically they say yes. But it's not recommended. Go online to Quest. com and book an appointment. Have your insurance info handy as the site does not wait; it will log you out. A referral from your doctor or employer is best. If you know the test rewuired, for if it your own wish, then you can purchase the appropriate kit and drop it off. But that should be booked, too. Because of Covid, there is no front staff. You're buzzed into an empty room with a computer screen. And it's as charming as I've described it. Once inside, the staff at 86th Street is extremely kind and helpful, key words being Once Inside. And DO NOT ARRIVE LATE. They system will send you a text that reads: "You are more than one minute past your appointment time. Please reschedule at your convenience." At least that provided a laugh.
You can book it on their website or you can call to schedule.
Online or the website, you can also walk in
They accept walk-ins as long as they are open (check their hours) and it's not right before they close.
No sure. I was a walk-in. Only 20 mins before I was called in.
