NO STARS! I recently visited Lanesboro and loved the town! So, I thought perhaps I would google campgrounds. Cushon appeared as one of my options. I called and the lady that answered (Judy) was rude and being very belittling as to their location was no where near Lanesboro!! It really set a icky vibe and now when I think of HOUSTON, MN I think "RUDE!!" When I asked for recommendations near there she was just so unfriendly and couldn't wait to get me off the phone. With customer service like that someday you may not have a waiting list. Things change. Honestly, ya could of just been nice and recommend a different campground for newcomers and people that aren't from the Midwest??

Tom, the owner, made a spot for us, even though they were full. We had reserved another spot at a different campground that the toilets & showers were closed due to Covid 19. Really nice park and right on the Root River Bike Trail. Had an excellent camping experience and plan on coming back here next summer. Thank you.

I wanna give 5 stars because the man who runs the place is very nice and welcoming, but his wife is always rude and condescending. I've been there 3 different times and the 2 times we've had to talk to the woman she's tried to argue with me or someone else in my group. The 1 time we didn't talk to her everything went easy. She's the common denominator. I'd give 5 stars if the woman stopped working there or learned how to talk to people. Her husband does a great job conversing, she does not.

Stopped on a Saturday afternoon in September searching for a tent site for one evening. The office was closed and assuming the office was simply closed for lunch, I made the mistake of entering the campground to get a visual on the sites while hoping the office would be open on my way out. We were approached by a seemingly intoxicated man operating a tractor with a beverage in his hand, claiming to own the place. He proceeded to cuss and harass us claiming to have chased us all over, making it explicitly clear that we were weren't welcome there without an invitation. We obviously decided not to camp to the intoxicated man’s delight, he approved of our decision and eventually moved his tractor allowing us to exit the property. Aside from the unfriendliness the property was also looking rather run down, littered with permanent sites occupied with mold and moss-covered structures. Eagle Cliff Campground and Motel was very accommodating and earned all 5 stars.

Yes but the fountains don't work well and like most parks the water doesn't taste.. well like water it has a taste to it so I recommend bringing water bottles and drink from the fountains if you run out
