I had nothing but the best experience dealing with Hertz in Vestal, New York. All of the people I dealt with by phone were very curtious. Jordan, Patrick and Ellen. If I am ever in need of a rental again I would definately chose Hertz.

**update** - had a 5pm reservation I made online and confirmed. Showed up to the location at 4:45pm. Doors were open to the business so I sat down. Hertz reps must have closed early and not locked up - I sat there for an hour with my plans totally screwed up based on Hertz not holding up their end of the contract/agreement. Used to be like the below.... I come here fairly often and the staff is nice. I took a star, not so much for the location, but for the app and how it inventories available vehicles. I have several times rented something like a cargo van that this location doesn't have regularly stocked. I don't blame the location but In the era of apps and smartphones it seems wild you could reserve something and it wouldn't be there. Otherwise used to be a great location that is conveniently located near the university and shopping malls

Never have any vehicles available, waited for 2 weeks and still was not able to get in a car, rates were also higher than most. Staff was rude and inconsiderate leaving me looking elsewhere.

If you call the Vestal office I'm sure they can arrange to have a driver pick you up. If your renting a vehicle.
If you didn't pay the first ticket the price doubles every month so they probably never paid it and are trying to charge you
You probably should ask them directly with any questions you have; I have found them to be helpful and willing to explain. In my experience, the eventual actual charge will match the close-out statement for the rental.

Rent cars are always to go back to the original pick up site unless set up to return to a different location in advance
Typically it does not cost anything to add someone as an extra driver unless they're under 25 years old. Best is to give them a call though. I've been renting from this location for years and have found the staff to be consistently friendly and helpful.
