My husband & I spent an enjoyable 2 hrs touring the "new" D&H Canal Museum and chatting with historian & curator, Bill Merchant. Definitely worth a visit. (There was no charge but donations are welcomed.)

I like the hand on exhibits and the music and that it's kid friendly but I would talk more about the tavern a little more and letting people go upstairs would be nice

What an amazing experience, I know that they have been slowly rebuilding the trailhead, I would hope eventually they would eventually have informative signs at the crest of each lock. The trail was beautiful but we had no idea how long the trail was. We only went to the second lock and stopped and turned back. The Museum was very I interesting. So nice to see the beginning of the Canal, we live at where it ends, the staff were very well versed with the history of the Canal and the workings of it from Kingston to Honesdale. I would definitely refer it to others and have.

Exceeding well done museum! Working dioramas and other hands on exhibits great for kids and adults. Walking trails are beautiful.
