Very disappointed in this library. I had a virtual job fair today from 10 am till 3 pm and was only able to use the computer for two 90 minute sections minus 10 because of the warning. This a library in a small town how can there be a time limit for the computers. I lost all of my tabs for job applications and am missing out on speakers. What would happen if a child who didn't have a computer at home had to be schooled from the library like what happened with COVID. Would they cut the kid off from getting an education. Again probably the worst library I have ever been to when it comes to computer use. I would have used it until at least 5 pm if I could have. If you're reading this DPL please change your practices. Makes no sense. No point in going at all if you are not allowed to use the computer for as long as you need to use it.

Must be a Dickinson citizen to get a library card? Any cost involved?

You can get a library card for free if you are a citizen of Billings, Stark or Slope county. Otherwise there is a charge yearly for a card ($20/ year for a single or $25/year for a family).

Yes, but you do need to have a library card with us 1st. If you have one already, then you just need one of a couple different apps. For Apple products, there is Overdrive and Libby. For Android products there will be Overdrive and kindle that you would use. If you use audio books then you will also want RBdigital which will also allow you to read magazines and comics. If you do not have a library card with us, then to get one you just need to come into the library with a state issued ID and something like a utility bill showing your current address in our service area.
