Al was very knowledgeable about the river, where to find fish, and what baits and tackle to use for each situation. He was very professional and informative throughout our day. Despite what could have been a tough day of fishing in the middle of summer including low water levels, water temperatures in the high 70’s, the temperature above 95 degrees, and the sun beating down on us all day, Al had us on the fish all day day long. We caught over 100 small mouth bass during our trip with many in the 15 to 18 inch range and had one of our best days of fishing ever! Throughout our trip, Al provided tips to increase our catch. He also told us some history about different parts of the river and towns. When we saw a women trying to swim across the river in a dangerous place and not swimming very swiftly, he asked if it was alright for us to pick her up and take her to the other side of the river because he was very concerned that she was going to drown. I highly recommend Al as a river guide! We have already booked a few other trips with him and can’t wait to get back out on the water!

It was one of the hottest days on the river that I fished in a long time. My expectations were low when we first got there. We had an awesome day on the river. Brian and I were neck and neck with the fish count for the day. Brian eventually pulled ahead and I couldn’t catch him. He finished with 46 released fish and I had 42. We missed tons more fish so the fish count would have been through the roof. From a fishing standpoint you couldn’t have a better guide than Al. He did a great job taking care of us while we were fishing. He was very personable and it felt like we were long time fishing buddies. Al even rescued a women trying to cross the river. She was very fortunate to have Al close by. We could have been reading about her in the newspaper if Al was not at that point on the river. What a day fishing!!!

As a fun Father’s Day outing, I took my Pops on a half day trip on the Susquehanna River with Al to fish for some smallmouth bass and to say we had a blast was an understatement. Although my Dad beat me by having the most bass for the day (by one fish haha!), we both truly appreciated every moment. Thank you for a great memory that will last a lifetime.

Al is a very gifted fishing guide he does his homework before you even get in the boat. I fished with Al dozens of times and not once did we catch under 50 fish. Not only did we catch a bunch of fish, the size was incredible! I will definitely be back again soon! Thanks Al!
