I love this place. I have stayed here many times. People are friendly and the river is so lovely. This last time there were some very noisy guests which is unusual so I hope this place stays peaceful. I do wish breakfast included some gluten free low sugar cereal, bread and yogurt. Rooms have been remodeled since I was there in 2018 and they are clean. Its reasonably priced compared to other places in the area.

Definitely not a five star hotel. I think the reason they mark it as a two star hotel is because it's a Motel. However it has everything you need, nice clean rooms, breakfast included and quite a few restaurants around.

This is an old hotel on the outside, but the owner continues to make lovely upgrades to the interior. The beds are excellent, the sounds of the gorgeous Frying Pan River will lull you to sleep, and the location in downtown Basalt is perfect, with plenty to do right there, or in nearby Snowmass, Aspen, and Carbondale.

Stayed here once before their reno, and it's a really good place to get access to Aspen Snowmass without paying a fortune. This time however I have to say thank you Aspenault for excellent customer service! When I made a reservation with them thinking I had access to Aspen Snowmass on my pass, only to realize that was a feature of a past season, they were very forgiving and allowed me to cancel without fees even though they didn't have to. Really grateful for the gracious people at this lodge making people focused decisions.
