Get someone who knows your situation to write an affidavit saying your not working due to the pandemic or you lost your job due to the pandemic and you receive foodstamps only or you receive ssi and your not able to pay your rent get a letter from the landlord if you can, letter from ssi how much you receive or letter from welfare how much you get in food stamps. That's if your getting foodstamps every thing must be on a letter with proof and signed with an affidavit and notarized, or get the form from surrogates court and put in the information with the proofs of your hardship. In queens county if decedent was a resident of queens county and you have original death certificate you can obtain forms from court web site Small estate affidavit if you need to gain access and obtain contents of residence Filing fee is $1 Mail completed forms to court or drop them in drop box in lobby of court house
