We just finished our training classes tonight. They were very helpful. I highly recommend them for training for your puppies.

If you're thinking about booking Gentle Dog Training, I'm here to tell you, you won't regret it. My husband and I did the 3 week board and train package for our 2 year old Great Pyrenees mix, and it quite literally changed our lives. Our dog, who we love very much, was also a major source of stress. At 90 pounds, his leash reactivity, constant barking at the window, and refusal to come inside from the backyard made him a pain to deal with every single day. At GDT, not only were we able to leave him somewhere we knew could handle him while we were on vacation (a hard thing to find), but we came back to an obedient dog! He's still his normal, goofy self, but he LISTENS to us. Walks completely loose leashed, comes when called every time. He even stops barking the instant we tell him to. This same dog that slipped his leash and chased a pickup truck down Roe Ave a few months ago can now be off leash in our front yard (on Roe -- a semi busy street). He even seems less anxious than he used to be -- turns out, having some guidance made him feel much more secure. We are so so so happy we splurged on this service. Thank you to Lisa and the rest of the team at GDT for doing such a wonderful job!

Absolutely nothing but the best things to say about this place. We took our extremely dog reactive / leash aggressive dog here after trying and failing many times to train her at home and living in constant anxiety of having to take her outside and having her lose it. I truly was not optimistic that anything would change her and remember telling my husband on our drive to the session "If I could just take her for a casual walk, I'll cry" After just about two sessions, she was learning to ignore dogs. After three sessions, some dogs charged us off leash while we were on a walk. She just sat down next to me. What once would have been a guaranteed vet visit was reduced to a small blip on an otherwise pleasant walk. She now ignores other dogs entirely and her whole demeanor has changed. Shes relaxed and no longer looks for things to get upset about on walks. I am endlessly grateful for the peace of mind and improved relationship I get with my dogs. (She even went on vacation to Colorado with us! She enjoyed long walks in new areas too)

Luna and I had such a great time learning new manners & basic skills at Gentle Dog training group classes. As a German Shepherd Rescue foster and mom of 2 GSDs many of these new training skills and tips will come in handy! I have been to several other dog training schools in the past with my other dogs, I always make sure to take each of my dogs to group classes for socialization is such an important skill, we learned a lot of things and am so excited to see how far Luna and I can go together helping to train more fosters and guide more fosters & adopters! Thank you Gentle Dog Training!

Questions & Answers

I have a two year old adopted yorkie. She stays inside 90% of the time. Sometimes she is great at using pee pads other times she goes where ever she wants. This is not acceptable. I have put her in a pen and that doesn't last either. Can you help?

I think we paid about $750 period classes lasted about an hour each time and there was no limit as to how many we could have depending on how the dogs did. It was a wonderful service we are still benefiting from what we learned as well as what the dogs learned hope it works out for you
