Beth is awesome and very helpful. The Department is a little slow in processing your case but I feel sure that they are overwhelmed with cases due to covid. They are always available to help you personally. The entry and waiting room chairs are spaced and feel safe. Masks are required.

Never in my life as a child or adult have I had any type of government assistance! Never, ever! My life in the last several years has taken a serious turn in a direction I never expected. As a result, I have dealt with serious changes that have affected the type of work I have always been able to do! Very involved and long story short, I hit a really big wall the last few months. I was referred to Junction City DCF by my brother in law and I was reluctant to do so. Going to the welfare dept is a very "alien thing" for me and I felt nervous about it! However, I called and set an appointment to discuss my situation. I went in for my first appointment and met my counselor Candace Howard. Let me say this....she is FANTASTIC! SERIOUSLY, I am telling you all, Candace put my mind at complete ease! She listened to me explain that reaching out for help like this was very tough for me to do and I was totally unfamiliar with it all. Candace really understood why I felt that way! She was not only great at understanding me, but I could tell she CARED FOR ME and, my situation! Candace is a "Vocational Rehabilitation" counselor. That is the program DCF offers and is the program I have been accepted into!! Guys, if your having a awful time finding a job due to physical limitations due to a injury like me, get on the phone to Junction city Kansas DCF and tell them your ordeal! Let them help you because they care and they can!!

depends on number of people in family
I believe there is a fee if you take out money from an ATM. You can always get cash back when you make a small purchase.
