Was left on the side of the road for 22 hours while being promised a replacement car was on the way. The car never showed up had to take a taxi almost an hour to pick up the new car. Was not a motel available where we was stranded after faulty tires caused a wreck. Only 2.5 mm tread on them! Was charged for not refueling the wrecked car

You need a secured credit card. They told me you can use debit too but he will run a check.
There is no fee to drop off at another location. If you already have your rental, You need to call and change the reservation drop off location. Avis pickup and drop off does not need to be at the same location.
Rented several times and never had a problem leaving my vehicle.
