This location is a Drop Off for household recyclables. Don't think they pick up. I would call the City of East Ridge and ask them how to recycle the material.
You can donate your #1 and #2 plastic at the recycle center, as well as cardboard, mixed paper and aluminum and steel cans, and clear, green and brown glass. You have to sort it if you bring it to the center. There is a curbside pickup program for city residents (using the blue resdidential recycle bins) for non-glass and it doesnt have to be sorted.

Yes and no. It depends on the material but the money made doesnt usually cover the costs. The main benefit is that it keeps the material out of the landfill and therefore the cost of paying to dispose of it.
