At the time, I was living in Moorhead, MN. I was back in the area taking care of my mother who had hip replacement surgery. Anyways, I was just starting to quilt. I didn't want to spend a whole lot on supplies, to realize I didn't like it. Anyway, my mother had a real basic machine. Yes, was made of plastic and from Walmart, but it got the job done she needed to do. I was going to start a quilt, but her machine did not want to work properly. I brought it over to this business, as my mother was a past customer here. The lady acted almost repulsed by it.. wouldn't even look at it, and said her machine repairman wouldn't even look at it either.. she also proceeded to say, anything wrong with it, it would probably be best to get another. (Remember a couple sentences above said she wouldn't touch it?) I asked her then, what would be a real basic one? I was just starting out to quilt.. she said these probably... Pointing to a couple.. I'm sorry, but if I am bringing in a 100.00 machine from Walmart, I don't have the money to buy a couple hundred dollar plus machine. I Iooked around the store at their different supplies and fabrics before I took my machine and went back to my mom's house. Before that, I stopped at Walmart to get another basic one... It still is doing its job 2 yrs later, and I didn't spend no 100.00. Poor customer service and not listening to the customer. FYI.. I make rag quilts, that sometimes are 3 layers of flannel.. fun quilt to make.

I have had several contacts with both Angie and Jim. They are so helpful, knowledgeable, and generous with their time. Even if it is apparent my contact would not result in a sale, they are still patient and willing to educate. I am so grateful for their assistance. I highly recommend their business, even as you have to figure out how to get to the front door with all the construction underway on the street/sidewalk. It is worth it!
