I removed a star simply because we were told the technician would be there from 8-9 and showed up after 9. I was told there would be an inspection but never received any communications on the findings from this trip or the previous notes from before we purchased our home as I was told they would try to find. The cost was on the low range of the estimate they provided so that was pleasant surprise.

The food and grease particles just sit in the trap and over time will cause an awful odor. The particles start to accumulate and can cause the kitchen sink to backup. We recommend a grease trap be pumped at least every 6 months.
All commercial kitchens are required to have a grease trap; which is a tank that connects from the kitchen sink to the city sewer line. The grease trap catches grease particles and food particles that make it down the drain, so it doesn't make it to the city sewer line and cause problems.
A restroom trailer has running water, flushing toilets, ac/heat, electricity and multiple private stalls. We have two sizes of trailers; one for 300 or less people and one that will service over 300 people.
You need to have one portable restroom per 10 employees.
The things to consider are how long is the event, is there going to be alcohol served, will there be more women than men. One restroom per 30 guests for a 6 hour event is a good guide. You can also visit our website at www.catcansofmanhattan.com and use the event guide calculator.
YES...a running toilet can actually produce thousands of gallons of water, which can overload your tank if it goes unfixed.
a. Waste water backing up in to your house b. Spongy grass on the lateral field, even during dry weather c. Pooling water around your septic tank d. Strong odor around the septic tank and lateral field e. Slow, gurgling drains
The price ranges for $250 - $350 for a routine pumping. The cost of this maintenance pumping, every 3-5 years, is considerably less than monthly city sewer rates or the thousands it costs to replace a septic system.
The solids in your tank start to accumulate and decrease the capacity of your tank. This can cause blockage in your sewer line which can lead to sewage back up in your house.
Depending on the size of your tank and how many people in your household, you should have your tank pumped every 3-5 years.
