For many years this museum was housed in the old Clay Center hospital where generations of family and friends were born. It was torn down to add an extension to the hospital and so the museum was moved downtown. These pictures serve as a preservation of the old museum, taken in the early to mid-2010's, so that it might be preserved online.

We loved the tour of Clay Center. It was neat learning the history of the town.

The museum has expanded numerous times over the years. They are now located in a two-story, very large building which accommodates a lot of items from the county’s past. It also accommodates a large number of things in storage so that the exhibits can rotate. They work with the local school children and community events quite well.

Yes

Did the Bonham and Tankersley Hotels have restaurants that might have hired a hotel dining manager who may have been there in August, September, 1941? Looking for whereabouts of long lost relative. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Marnie Hall
