I learned some excellent tools for managing work-related stress and anxiety here, and I'm grateful for the help I got when I really needed it.

Wonderful facility with an exceptional staff. I’ve referred a couple of friends who agree as well.

I am sharing my experience so community members can determine if this organization is the right place for them to seek care. Doctors at the location do not accept insurance because they do not feel it reimburses them sufficiently. During my initial appointment, Dr Creston Andrews only went over one potential side effect of the medication prescribed, and required prompting and had to make a subsequent phone call after the appointment to discuss side effects. My second month's prescription was erroneously sent to the pharmacy; the prescription had the wrong quantity and the wrong dosing instructions. When I raised this concern with the facility they argued with me about the incorrect prescription being sent to the pharmacy. In a phone call regarding my concerns the owner, Jared Torbet, stated 'they (Anxiety and Depression Clinic)didn't think they would ever be able to meet my needs'. Jared also stated that he had forgotten to get me scheduled with a therapist for the past month. In a phone call with Dr Andrews in the same day Dr Andrews accused me of threatening her license and the facility in response to my concerns about the medication error that had occurred. She also encouraged I leave the Anxiety and Depression Clinic multiple times. A complaint is not a threat, providing feedback is not a threat, discussing rights of a patient and the legal framework for which an organization operates is not a threat, and self advocacy is also not a threat. My statement about providing feedback online was not a threat as well; those actions are to protect the community and allow people to make informed decisions about provider/facility selection. The only person who can threaten/endanger thier license is the license holder through their actions. If threats had been made against the facility, law enforcement officers would have been called immediately and the patient provider relationship would have been terminated on the spot by the provider. I did not experience a safe environment for mental health care, and I am leaving this information so other community members can make an informed choices regarding their healthcare needs.

Maureen is a wonderful therapist. In the short time I was her patient, she took her time to get to know me. She just listened, she didn't immediately try to offer help or suggestions, she just listened and really wanted to get to know me and how I think. I felt like we were creating a friendship, that this was someone I could turn to and she would have no reason to agree or disagree and I really trusted her outside point of view. It was only three months but she helped me a great deal and it wasn't until she got to know me that she would offer up suggestions or other ways to think about a situation. I felt like she genuinely cared about me.i understand her style might not work for everyone but it did for me. Thank you for being what I needed when I needed someone. I needed someone who listened and allowed me to explain my thoughts. As an adult, I found her to be a perfectly good fit

If you have United Healthcare, it would only be your deductible. If you have other insurance, or paying out of pocket, this fee list would apply: https://www.comoclinic.com/#services. I hope this answers your question!
For medication, and to be able to use your Medicaid benefits, I recommend contacting the University of Missouri South providence medical Park here: https://www.google.com/search?q=University+of+Missouri+South+Providence&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari# I hope this helps!

Great question. Currently, we do not evaluate children, although we plan to offer that in the future. For now, I'd recommend contacting MU Psychological Services at 573-882-4677, or MU Thompson Center at (573) 884-6052. I hope this helps!
It depends on what you're looking for. Here is a list of counselors in your area: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/mo/springfield I hope this helps!
Yes, it sounds like Chris would be a good fit. He is male, as well as our DBT therapist. Thanks Emma! - Jared
