I have always preferred McKee over any other area hospital, I had my babies here, my whole family has as well. They took great care of my dad before he passed, my kids have been in this ER numerous times over the years. With that being said, my last experience with the ER was sad. It's over a 2 day period, the first visit for my friend was 5 stars hand down, nurses, doctors, radiology staff, intake staff, everybody was so awesome, they got her in admitted her, did her surgery and everything was great. However once she got home there was complications. Getting to the hospital she was passing out, pale as a ghost, vomiting, shaking, bleeding, she was not ok and called to make sure she should come, she was treated so badly by the nurse who wheeled her back and thank God for Matt the nurse!!! He was amazing!!! The lady who called security because my friend yelled I cant, cause she couldnt get her words out due to a very high amount of pain, dizziness, and a mix of all her symptoms she was almost incoherent. I understand if she was cursing or threatening, or harassing but she simply was not and treated so badly I actually got very emotional and completely stunned that this woman could call security on a tiny woman, frail, sick, in pain, crying, frustrated and very scared for her life. This woman and her co workers behind the desk were by far the most unprofessional women I have ever encountered and I'm from a very large family with plenty of hospital visits over the years. She never once spoke with concern or care or anything nice at all period. She was rude, mean, snarky and I'm still just so appalled. I hope she gets in trouble for this because nobody should be treated like that ever!!! And on top of it the women at that desk were talking and laughing so incredibly loud the entire time, we knew their personal life information and vacations, kids names, what they had for lunch, they were rude and unprofessional like I have never ever seen!! When she pushed the call button we could hear it beep, hear them laugh about it and ignore it, I am just so sad about how the health care industry has lost the old way of genuinely caring about patients and I honestly thought McKee was still one of the good ones!! The nurse Matt was so awesome and caring and sweet he should get a raise!!!!

My most recent experience here was phenomenal. I had to have a outpatient surgery and from beginning to end the intake person, nurses, anesthesiologists, doctors were fantastic. A very nerve wracking experience for me went very smoothly thanks to your hospital and team. I cannot thank you all enough. When I woke up I obviously was coming off anesthesia, but I remember how wonderfully I was treated by the nursing staff. I really respect the work you all do and you are very appreciated. I have had nothing but positive experiences at this hospital. Thank you so much!

The staff here is so caring and attentive. They made sure to explain everything to me, I felt very safe here.

My partner when visiting here last year as an adult on an M1 Hold had his private information shared with family by the psychiatric staff evaluating him. I know how HIPPA functions and this is a breach of privacy and caused further issues. They also gave him a high dose of Ativan to keep him quiet while crying and would not monitor him or allow me to comfort him. Poor understanding of individuals with autism as well as how HIPPA functions. Do not go here.
