Holiday Inn Express Delano Hwy 99, an IHG Hotel

The front desk workers we encountered were very friendly and accommodating, that’s why I am giving 2 stars instead of one. This hotel was constructed so cheaply, that you can hear everything through the paper thin walls and ceilings, as well as through the doors that were not installed properly. Upon arrival to our room after check in, the toilet would not flush and our room phone was not working so we had to go to the front desk and request a new room. Once we were put in a new room, our cable box didn’t work for the tv, so no tv. By that time we didn’t feel like requesting another room. Also, the pool and hot tub were disgusting and not useable. Honestly, I’m just glad the desk employees were nice, but management needs to consider making changes to this hotel, because after our experience I do not want to return.

The best part of this stay was the nice lady during check-in and the beds were very comfortable. Now the bad..... In my room, the HVAC unit wouldn't turn on at all. The room was a little hot so I opened the window and got a fresh breeze until it was time to sleep. I would have left it open all night but my room was right next to the 99 Hwy. Things got a little hot during the night. The toilet ran constantly. I opened the bowl to see if the float was stuck but it needed replaced. The undermount sink in the bathroom had a 1/2" gap between it and the countertop. It won't be long until it falls down. The plumbing is probably holding it up now. The breakfast was very, very, minimal - just bread for toast and dry cereal. Oh, and bananas. No famous cinnamon rolls. None of the juices were working, only water came out. The price I paid was way too much for the quality we received. I don't usually write reviews but felt I needed to on this one.

Terrible build quality, doors won't latch properly, some light fixtures won't work, bathrooms are terrible some toilet don't have enough vacuum, bathtub won't drain so you take a shower in the dirty soapy water. Pencil marks everywhere from when the carpenter was building or measuring. The ladies at the front desk were really nice and friendly.

Very poor customer service. Male at front counter very cold and standoff. First room went to was not cleaned, beds unmade and bathroom used, went to ask for clean room and he had attitude towards me as if it was my issue. Thankful for the woman there that ended up helping us and getting in a room, but floors had stains all over and bathroom was dirty and out of soaps and toiletries(had my own but not the point).... won't come back or recommend to anyone....
