While it is a small gallery, it draws you in and invites you to look at and read about every piece. It is fascinating to read about these obscure and unknown artists and the possible talents that came from other unknowns as well

I loved this place so much. Fantastic small wonderful enriching place to visit. Make a reservation online before you go and you’re set.

I had a few hours in Chicago on a Friday afternoon and decided to come here, and was very disappointed to find it closed. It's not open to the public, it's only open by appointment. :(

Small, but very well done.

It is not! All of the art is on the first level, as well as the tiny gift shop. If you have a wheelchair or walker, the gift shop might be hard to maneuver. However, the gallery is easily accessible. Hope this helps. It's a weird place with some weird art. Enjoy!
I don't know. We didn't look.
Hi Philip and Belit! We actually now have a standard admission of $5. For many years we used a voluntary "pay what you can" system, but to help us keep our doors open, we've made a shift. We never want cost to be a barrier to the museum, but as a small nonprofit, a guest's $5 entry goes a long way to helping us continue to celebrate the power of outsider art. Thank you, and we hope to see you soon!
Admission is $5 for adults and children over the age of 12. Members and children under 12 get free admission.
