There is plenty of parking in the lot. An outhouse is available at the beginning the path to the left. It's just a short walk to the lighthouse. It can even be done in sandals. No dogs allowed. It was busy when we went and difficult to get pictures without people in the way. There was a small crowd just sitting g on the railing hanging out for a while. Reminder: Be mindful of other people. Take your turn and move on. Don't forget to check out the rest of the park. There's even a beach.

An amazing hidden gem.. Absolutely stunning views. This lighthouse is one that you would see in the movies. Area is so beautiful and nicely maintained. I highly recommend this!

Absolutely stunning. I was in shock at the beauty of this place and the views it offers. Be prepared to walk a little bit to get the lighthouse, but it is totally worth it. It's not far from where you park. There is so much to explore and many opportunities for really good photos. My husband and I found a little beach area and enjoyed the peace and beauty. There is a grassy area and a few benches to sit on as well. This is worth the time out of your day to visit.

Beautiful spot, we were unable to go inside the lighthouse its self but the gift shop and museum were open. Signs are not clearly marked but you have to park your car and walk up and around to the lighthouse. There are a few small paths off the main path that offer great photo ops of the classic rugged Maine coastline.

Not sure how busy it can be but it definitely had space for a travel trailer while we were there. The parking was dirt and gravel but it was packed down and there was plenty of space.
Just the trail part is open right now. Hopefully in Spring everything else will be open.
I would have thought so - it is run by volunteers
They said they only play now on special occasions.
Yes it is
From the shape of the hill it is built on... Two oddly shaped depressions in the rocks of the hill create a shape that looks like an owl's head....
