Went to La Scarola for the first time when in Chicago recently after actually seeing it mentioned on a television show along with one of their signature dishes 'Chicken Vesuvio" I truly enjoyed the food along with the lively atmosphere. The walls are lined with pictures of local and well know celebrities and every table was taken on a weeknight at 8pm (I would advise making a reservation before visiting). La Scarola seems to attract all types, from the tourist visiting Chicago but also many locals who just know the spots to get a great Italian meal for a reasonable price. I will definitely return!

I found that prices for entrees can be anywhere from $20-$50

It was delicious! They serve you a huge plate of food. Worth the price. Two can actually eat of one meal. Very attentive and nice staff. The place is very homey. Even have valet parking for 10 dollars, which isn't bad considering that street parking is about the same price.
Probably not, but always appreciated. Helps to plan seating, number of covers and staffing.
True parking is metered and can be more expensive than valet , easy to travel there with Uber.
I live a block away and walk by 3 or 4 times a week never seen any event. Just good italian food in casual retro old School simple place. Super delicious.
