We had to cancel our reservation because of our dad dying. We were traveling by bike and needed stop our trip. What was most disturbing was the fact that when I explained this to them, they would not refund our money. She said she would try to rent it and not charge us. If she meant this, she would have asked our name. I called back and told her our name. Basically, if you don’t take care of customers don’t LIE to them. Two and a half hours later she billed our card! Bicyclist don’t support local in this case.

I've been staying here for over 30 years. And this is the first time that they didn't clean my room? Stayed for three nights. Is this a new thing for some motels? I guess if they aren't going to clean your room on a daly basis they might want to note that on their website. Just saying.

This hotel is far above expectations looking at it from the outside. It is old and kind of out of the way but you can't beat it for the price. I really like that the entrances are outside so I don't have to go through a lobby given the covid situation. Rooms were immaculate and very comfortable with one of the nicest rocking chairs I ever had. I have a friend who is Indian and he's very meticulous about cleaning. The two women that run this hotel are apparently the same way. Just spotless. Bathrooms are small but very nice with granite counters. There was a microwave but no coffee machine and no coffee cups. There's also refrigerator. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

On a road trip and unexpectedly decided to stay in Alexandria at the last minute. Called and got the last room available at 9:30 pm on a Saturday night in the summer. Wasn't expecting much, as it was under $100. From the outside, appears to be like any other cheap motel. Once in the room though it was a different story. Room was very clean. No carpet, which in a motel is a huge plus. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was tiny but seemed recently updated with tile shower and granite countertop. There was a table with two chairs. Room was large and spacious. A non-smoking room in a motel that actually did not smell like smoke which is a rarity. Service was good- we only needed one bed, but only room left had two. Clerk said she'd just charge us for a room with one bed. Would definitely recommend and we'll stay there again if we're in the area.
