So much fun! Amazing prices and service! The patience they showed my kids was unmatched! Richard actually took the time to show my son how to do a wheelie and made sure we were all safe and comfortable! Highly recommend and will definitely be going back next time we’re in town.

Irresponsive and disappointing. We booked 3 months in advance an ATV ride at Arnie’s ATV. After having an emergency abroad, we couldn’t make it to the booked date, and so we tried reaching Arnie’s ATV by mail. After not receiving any response for the following two months, we tried reaching Arnie’s ATV both by phone and another mail a week before the booked date, and to our disappointment we didn’t hear any reply from them. On the actual booking date and time, we didn’t even hear from them if we would make it. We are aware the booking is non-refundable, however on the reservation it is written it is possible to reserve a later date, and we expected at least to get a reply from them but got nothing. Disrespectful. Just a waste of hundreds of bucks. Would be surprised if they even read this review…

We rented three ATVs today. The person that gave us our helmets gave us his personal number to call in case we got stuck in the dunes. And we did. First few times when I called him, he said he was going to start. He said the same thing each time I called. After that he just stopped taking my calls. So I was sitting in the middle of the dunes with my two kids waiting for him to come help. Thankfully, a stranger helped us all three. When I went back and asked him why he didn't even bother to start to come to help us, he told me that it is my responsibility, not his. What a terrible attitude and customer service. Really beautiful place but really bad people doing business there. Sad!

Big shout out to Kyle for helping me locate my phone! I was super stressed out about losing my phone on the dunes, but he helped me find a way to locate it! Thanks Kyle!!! Renting atvs here were fast and easy. I had a lot of fun, despite initially losing my phone. This was my first time, and i had a blast!

We are sorry but as of this moment there are no rental ATVs out there on our Dunes. However, if you do have a truck and trailer we can rent units for you to carry out to the Dunes yourselves. Reservations are required. If you are interested please call the store (805) 474-6060 and make your reservations (try giving us a call (Thursday thru Sunday) after 10am - the first groups should be on their way by then.) :) We are sorry for any inconvenience. Since the closing of the beach due to Covid-19 we are still closed for renting on the beach this is the only way we can help you with rentals and for this we apologize. The State has moved the park into Phase 2 of the re-opening of CA. As soon as we have a re-open date to begin renting ATV's on the beach I will post on Facebook: find our page (Arnies ATV,) now like us, then follow us - and as soon as we have that re-opening date we will post it there on our Facebook page. We have ASI instructors that can teach anyone to ride. If your girl is under 5'9" and under 160 pounds - yes we have a fully automatic Kymco 150 she can ride. If not then it would be semi-automatic Honda 250ex. No I'm sorry, we do not rent the "dune buggies". We do however have many different sizes of "single seat" ATV's/quads available. For riders as young as 6 years of age & rider fit (meaning they have to be able to control all of the functions while seated on the atv).
