If you're looking to catch fish and go on an adventure look no further. Smoky Mountain Angler will take care of you and make sure you have an amazing time. I spent a lot of time there throughout the week and went on a guided trip with, Jesse! He took the time to show my friends and I how to catch wild trout in the National Park. We also learned how to be mountain goats haha! Jesse isn't afraid to take you where the fish are. We hiked narrow trails and climbed over massive rocks. But I loved every second of it. You're fly fishing in the mountains, so it's just part of the experience. If you're willing to go the extra mile he will take you to some incredible water. He's extremely talented and knows what he is doing. We caught a bunch of wild bows and learned a lot of great techniques. So make sure you ask for Jesse if you go on a guided trip. The rest of the staff is extremely knowledgeable as well will make sure you have everything you need. I will definitely be back. Thanks again for an amazing time in the mountains!

We had the pleasure of having Bill as our guide while visiting the park and were able to catch some fish even though the water was so low because of Bill’s knowledge and patience. HIGHLY recommend him to everyone! He is an amazing guide and person!

They sell night crawlers and red wigglers.
Wear mask inside.
Tried calling you back.
Yes. Get the TWRA app for all the prices & regulations. You can fish both NC or TN sides of the park with either states fishing license.
The only one day non resident license that Tennessee offer here is a #097 for fishing downtown Gatlinburg. If you want to fish the GSMNP you will need to get a #077 for there. it is a three day license. Hope this helps. Chad Williams
Mostly trout and cold water fish around the fly shop. All Tennessee lakes hold catfish and panfish though.
There are 3 different fishing licenses for this area. It just depends on the river. If you are fishing in town you need a one day $11.50 license. In the park for wild trout you will need a $20.50 for a 3 day license and state stocked water you will need $40.50 for a 3 day to fish that. If you stop by the shop we can point you in the right direction! Do not go to walmart because we literally have to fix there mistakes quite a bit.
