Fantastic place, when outside of Yosemite. Around the bass lake

Bass Lake is one of my favorite lakes because of the Willow Creek area and the amazing natural water slide the creek makes as it spills into the lake. Depending on the water level there are lots of rocks to jump off of (when the water is high) and a big beach area (when the water is low). As far as I know, the lake is owned by PG&E and they start to empty it toward the end of July. There's also BBQ grills in this area as well as bathrooms even though it's not a campground. Parking fills up fast so get there early. They also have fireworks every 4th of July. If the lake is really full, this area may not be the best view.

Great hike! Decent parking & beautiful little waterfalls that are worth visiting. Our dog did well on this hike and enjoyed taking a dip in the calmer parts of the water

The trail was overgrown and at times it's hard to manage and hike by. By the stream, it may look beautiful and scenic, however there is a lot of garbage that could be found on the side. People should respect nature and take their garbage with them not leave it there as trash.

We thought there was a courtesy box when no one was around, but we are told there isn't one. I'm trying to find out now and will get back to you.
You can drive, but still a short hike and theres no parking on that side.
No day/night use restrictions as far as posted signs or notices are concerned. No snow and no chain required this time of the season/year. Enjoy and have a ton of fun!!!
