I went here due to a friend volunteering here. I love machinery, electronics, and some antiques. I didn't spend time inside, but got the tour. While some of it just doesn't really interest me, I imagine it's a dream for old heads or train enthusiasts. I enjoyed it just for the sense of nostalgia, even for an era I didn't exist in, like old trains straight from a movie. They actively to try refurnish the trains and restore power, which is the side that interested me.

The two gentlemen who work the museum are endearing but it is a place for adult railroad aficionados. The children did not enjoy even though they had a little table with a model of a town and a working railroad. It is a tiny place, with maybe three old trains in the back of which you get a nice little informative introduction to. The place itself is very dated even for a museum and we made the mistake of parking far away and walking, the area is desolate and outright creepy. There was however a really magical house.and garden that we passed on the way to it which come to think of it made me feel like I just passed the candy house from Hansel amd Gretel.
