Everytime I have a package that's slightly to big it says they tried to deliver and it never made it and my route I normally don't get mail till 6pm after the post office is closed

Yes . Usually the company that you ordered from will provide you with a return number for free . If you can't contact them directly then you need to pay to return it. Amazon is free returns.

You have to schedule an appointment online. They don't accept walk-ins. I believe it's 9 to 5 though.
You're able to do a package intercept from the web site and have it go wherever, including held at a certain post office. However, it does cost money and only works for domestic packages.
