Enjoyed the time I spent. Great place to go for a fun weekend or to spend a day. Had a lot of fun swimming and the numerous picnic tables they had all over the place made it super convenient to find a spot to just sit and enjoy myself with my family. Seemed like parking was always available despite how full the place was. Great place, I can't wait to come back.

Came in the day after a storm, and can't say enough about how quick the game and parks employee's were at getting the downed branches picked up and the campground cleaned up and ready for everyone to enjoy. Really enjoyed this SRA. Set up camp, had a movie playing for whoever wanted to come watch with us. Used the convenient fire pit for making smores. The kids had an awesome time in the swim area and playing on the inflatables. Can't wait to plan our trip back here again.

Clean lake with a beach. There is an obstacle course you can pay to play on but it is only open at certain times to a limited amount of people. Be prepared to wait for 90min of fun. Nice convenient store, camping and picnic areas. Will return.

Overall nice weekend camping trip, spots are pretty close to eachother but allows opportunity to meet people. Was still too early to swim but was able to rent tandem bikes & trikes to ride around. Pretty clean place with 2 water & dump stations, clean bathrooms & showers available. Despite the proximity to the train tracks they actually weren't annoying. Close access to the platte river with sandy Beach & sand bars.

The beach will be closed at the park staff discresion in case of sever weather. Please remember there are no lifeguards on dutie on the Beach. The Adventure Park water playgroud has different hours. First come first serve until next weekend I think. We camped there this past weekend.
Be there at least 30 mins early to ensure you get in!
You can book online ahead of time too. I use the reserve america app
There is not an actual boat dock, but there is places to put in a kayak or a canoe.
It has an inflatable section very cool, and a marvelous lake
6 dollars for admission
they have paddle boards, some kayaks, canoes, and pedal boats for rent.
Lemon balm and basil!!
Yes with an RV not alone. There are specific sites for that at Louisville
Emily, They are opening up the parks to full operation tomorrow.. Best bet would be to call down and see or call Game and Parks.
Yes they do our you could buy a yearly membership that's cost about 45$
There are no cabins at Louisville, but nearby is Mahoney State Park or Platte River State Park. Both have cabins
No unfortunately it is called a "Park ENTRY Permit." Some of thr state parks and recreation areas do have parking lots near the entrance where they will allow you to park free and walk in. However that is even at the discretion of the Park Superintendent.
I was told that most upkeep and repairs of the Park infrastructure come from fees and permits. Major inprovements and upgrades come from granks and donations to the Ne Game and Parks Commission. I can't say about flood repairs and cleanup I assume from FEMA. This question would best be directed at the Commission itself at outdoornebraska.org
Not officially however I have not heard how the water test results came out. I would suggest that you ask at the office or the Park Super. His suggestion was to contact NEQ( Ne Environmental Quality) in Lincoln.
You will have to call and ask.
The park is open for limited camping. They have some spots open on a first come first served basis no reservations. The pads are all non electric because the power has not yet been turned on at thr park. You can bring and use a generator between the hoirs of 6 Am and 10 Pm. The cost is $15.00 per night plus park entry fee. Swiming is not recomended and catch & release is advised for fishermen. Bring bottled water to drink and cook with. Showers will not be open due to lack of power. Much has already been repaired but as you will see there is still a long way to go.
I think around May 15th now as well. I would call the State Offices for more information.
At this time the park is still closed. It suffered catastrophic damage. They have crews working very hard to reopen asap. From what I have learned so far. Is they hope to reopen for partial use in a few weeks. Watch the website outdoornebraska.org.. At first they may only be non powered pads only due due the damage to the electric inferstructure. OPPD are working diligently at repairing there side of the system. The rest may take a little longer. I know the are prepaing to open several of the modern Restroom/Shower buildings. As I understand the sites will most likely be first come first served until all repairs can be completed. Anyone interested in volunteering to help with the rehab and repairs you can contact the Park Superintendent thru the office of the Platt River State Park. That number is (402)234-2217.. Good Camping , hope to see you there soon.
Yes by may 1st Louisville will be open. Better call and get reservations right away other closures there may be a shortage
2 pm
