I have to give them 5 stars for speed I had a surgery there and 35 minutes they took me in and put me under never been to a place that fast surgery took less time then they projected. 2 star for insurance and billing they wouldn't allow payment plans so I had to come up with 10k before they performed but that is alright. I would give a minus 5 for patient care they operated and then booted out the door no follow up after surgery it has been 7 months since my surgery and still haven't even had a follow up visit or call to discuss the surgery results I've been kicked back 3 times when I try to make a follow up appointment to test if the surgery worked and everytime I get pushed back.

Do NOT go here unless you plan on dying. The U of U used to be the best care you could get. That has drastically changed! The care is deplorable. The nursing care we have received in the Surgical ICU is the worst I have ever witnessed! If you are not with the patient 24 hours a day, nurses unnecessarily sedate them to keep from being bothered. Do NOT come here!

I hear if it is a life/death situation this is the place to go, but after speaking to the nurse I just talked to, I am pretty sure if you do live, she will make you wish you hadn't! I wish I got your name, but if you hate your job so much, go find another one. Until then, do the job you are being paid to do!

We spent over 3 weeks here with a close family member. Absolutely amazing care from all the doctors and nurses. Thank you Doctor Hayes and everyone on your team for the care and attention. I highly recommend the UofU hospital.

Thank you Ryan
While they should be, the fact that they still haven't even apologized for their cowardice says all about what will happen to these wanna be police.
They have someone help you apply for assistance 😌
Personally, I would NEVER even try a VBAC (vaginally birth after cesarean). Years ago, I was called in for an emergency c-section while working as a respiratory therapist. When I walked into the O.R. it looked like a war zone. It was a VBAC gone wrong. The woman's uterus ruptured, and we struggled to save mom and baby. In the end, both survived. However, the woman had an unplanned hysterectomy because of the ruptured uterus. No more babies for her. Over the years, there were other cases, but that one stays in my mind. My children are 14 years apart. Both were C-Sections. The method of delivery does not change the fact that you are a woman and carried a child, birthed a child and will raise that child. For peace of mind, consult your OB/GYN.
I give it a 10 stars
I don't think utah is on the band wagon yet but I am curious since my mom is terminal with pancreatic cancer. Lmk what you find
Yes
No it wouldn't be better! They need to expand Inorder to keep up with the forever growing population and they need to remodel to keep equipment up to date and keeping a building looking newer also helps keep it more sanitary. I could give you 1000 more reasons why it's better to Keep working on the hospital but to most it's obvious. As a patient I personally would rather go to a updated Hospital than an old decrepid out of date hospital. With how fast technology is changing and because of how fast our population is growing there will probably never be a time when the work ever stops. So you probably get used to it or move to another state but the other state is going to be doing the same thing. There isn't a hospital in this state that isnt getting work done on it right now and there will never be. So as the old saying goes " Like it or Lump it!" 😁
No. You have to go off the property. And whith all the construction it's a mess up there. Good luck
No. However, hospital Social workers can help find community resources to provide gynecological and pre-natal care. What comes to mind is Planned Parenthood, which provides excellent service.
Salt Lake County
I was allowed one companion. My Husband was there.
If you need medical help or assistance, there's no better place to go, outstanding facilities and world class staff.
The way to initially login to mychart is on your discharge paperwork.
Yes you can view our plastic surgeons at https://healthcare.utah.edu/plasticsurgery/
Terence depends on what your purpose is here at the hospital
Don't be mean (The dogs probably don't care for you)
Country? USA. If you mean county it is in Salt Lake County
No. There is way more liability and training that goes into prescribing medical marijuana. It's a ton of work.

Yes. Visit https://healthcare.utah.edu/locations/patient-family-housing/
I wouldn't call it a scam, the procedures that I went there for seemed to be done correctly but it is over-priced and certainly FOR profit!
Definitely go to Huntsman Cancer Institute. They are the best around with cancer. I'm not sure about the financial part, but I know they would be able to direct you to services to help you afford whatever it is that she needs.

Yes it does! If your case is painfull, maybe you can be admitted to have a micro surgery... The general doctor will check on you and, if is necessary , book a incision to you. You are in one of the best hospitals in this side of the country. Good luck
Google maps would be your best bet. Should be on your phone.
Depending on the surgery, there will be post-surgery care. They just want one more option. Rest assured the U of U is a pretty good Hospital
Yes contact guest services
Connect to the open WiFi, then open your internet browser. It can be a little weird sometimes, but it will ask you to accept their terms of service and you will be given a 24 hour access on that device.
I think by Mychart
I agree with Dave it depends on your relation to the patient and the area of the hospital being visited.
They have chairs that recline into beds and some rooms have love seats in them that slide into beds as well. They are limited but cots are available on request. Well wishes with the surgery!
You're using google maps. Search for "Cafe Rio near X" or if you're already there search for "Cafe Rio near me"
