Nice Atlantic ocean side campground. Not the greatest beach area.

Awesome place to spend at the beach!!!!!

What a nice little State Park in the middle Keys, friendly staff, beautiful well-kept grounds. Just a note this is a small State Park with a limited parking. The beach is oceanside and isn't what most Floridians are used to. But if your looking for the beach the Keys aren't the place.

Go to Honda down the road
Yes there is electric hook-up at every site
Yes but make sure you get a fishing license... worth the $10 BELIEVE ME IT IS!
Yes they have hammock polls on the back of the site
There is a hawk watch in October plus lots of small birds, lizards, crabs all year. I have seen dolphins in the lagoon near the day use area and turtles nests on the beach.
Yes, there is a beach, and so much more. This is one of the cleanest state parks. It's small but that is probably why it's so well taken of.
Yes that's correct on getting lucky enough to get a site!!!
Primitive camping not allowed in this state park but maybe Long key state park can provide that type of accomodation.
Ice machines a couple of stations in Marathon plus bagged ice at Winn Dixie and Publix Supermarkets.
We were there 4 weeks ago. Camping for a Florida resident is $33 a night fees and taxes included.
Reserveamerica
Yes. Park fee was 4.50 for 2 adults and the kids were free depending on age
Yes, lots of grills also have pavillions
The price should be the same as all state parks but in the winter it is hard to get site so reserve your site early if in winter but the park i think was 30 . 35 dollars a night
No
Dogs are not allowed off leash, or on beaches at Curry Hammock, they can be on leach with you in picnic pavilions.
Yes. They are. I was camping there 2 weekends ago.
Florida residents get 50% off, I think. Not sure about a veteran's discount.
You can reserve up to 11 months in advance...if you can find a site. These state parks are very popular...especially during the winter and spring months. Good luck!
Theres no marina or boat ramp andNo motor boats are allowed by the beach till about 100 yards out. Bahia Honda ir John Pennekamp have boat ramps and marina
$4 to $7 dollars if I remember correctly. It depends upon how many people are in the car. It is worth the admission if you are going for at least a few hours. The nature trail west of the park entrance on Route 1 is free and makes for a nice walk. Have fun!
Not at this park. Bahia Honda has a shop
Everyone needs a license. I think you may be able to get a discount on it. Overall they are not very expressive.
Reserveamerica.com Good luck
Lots of seaweed but once you get past it, the water is great. There is a spot that people go in the water and swim near the pavilions

You aren't able to rent snorkel gear but kayaks are about 20$ for 4 hours if I remember correctly. It would be quite a swim to the sandbar if you planned to do that (about a mile and half) so kayaks are pretty much required. Make sure to go on the right day as well. Plan for low tide.
You have to call the Park directly for these type of questions.
I have seen dogs on a leash at the park plenty of times
Reserve America. Book 11 months in advance as it fills up quick.
Call them up .rv tent car van
Didn't see any effects of Irma when we were there 2 weeks back
