These people don’t care they would shut your water off without notice & would take them forever to come turn water back on smh
Aesthetic Directive
Have workers out shutting peoples water off after a severe snow storm and their phone people will hang up on you if you curse. Plus my water is discolored and I can’t drink it anyways. Add in the absurd hours for a public utility that shouldn’t be corporatized to begin with what a mess. I’ll literally never live in a neighborhood managed by them again UPDATE March 4th, 2022: my water now has a gassy smell to it. I just love paying for water my dogs and I can't drink

I have gotten a great response from my inquires. I had several concerns about my water usage and their self service web portal. Marinda was very pleasant in her communications with me and provided me the answers I was looking for. Great customer service.

We also. Had yellow or brownish water last night
YES
Thanks for reaching out. We do have an area that has been experiencing yellowish, orange colored, and even brownish colored water. Our lines got stirred up, meaning water flows changed direction from a different source, and caused this. We apologize for this. The color is because the sediment and water deposits from the cast iron mains break off and stir up the water. It is not harmful but it is horrible to look at. It should dissipate and clear up as it settles. Again, we do apologize. If it continues into tomorrow, please call our office. Thank you

Granger Hunter is for water and wastewater utilities only. Your garbage is most likely collected by West Valley City, depending on where you live.
Water hammer is usually caused by valves closing quickly. You can install a water hammer arrester on your plumping or valves that close slowly. Like a quiet flow toilet valve.
