Such a beautiful place. This cemetery is very well kept and beautiful. They have wonderful programs, concert events, movie nights and more. It is truly a magical gift in historic Philadelphia.

We live a few blocks from Laurel Hill Cemetery which is a treat to get to explore on a daily basis. Between the history, sights, peacefulness, calmness the cemetery overlooking Kelley Drive and the trails bring it is truly magnificent. The walks, runs and views are highly recommended. Thank you for the treasures!

Laurel Hill Cemetery is beautiful and filled with so much history. I have wanted to explore this Cemetery for a very long time. There is so much to explore, one day is not enough. It is open 7am to 7pm. I will be coming back to this landmark in Philadelphia.

Military from all wars from the Revolutionary to Global War Against Terror are scattered throughout. More Civil War generals than any cemetery other than Arlington and West Point. Closest to a military section is near the Silent Sentinel near Ridge Avenue.
40 Civil War era Generals are buried there.
I would calling the office and talking to a staff member. The number is 215.228.8200. They might be located at West Laurel Hill Cemetery or a cemetery in the surrounding area.
Last I checked, Laurel Hill Cemetery does not offer anything in the way of 'natural' burial practices. However, West Laurel Hill Cemetery — an adjacent, related property — does. In fact, natural burials are just one part of their larger sustainability initiative.: http://westlaurelhill.com/about/sustainability .
In fact, the cemetery organization maintains an searchable online database.: https://thelaurelhillcemetery.org/research/cemetery-records
Yes you can as long as the gate is open. Sometimes they have events and then you have to park across the street.

Perhaps it's another cemetery, Ethel, as neither LH or W. LH has a listing. Good luck!
