On September 21,2022 me and my daughter went to purchase rugs from this location, we were in the store less then 15 minutes. The manager came throwing rugs around. I said all the rugs we wanted was at the bottom. He said, yea well the rugs you move you ought to put them back. We didn’t move any rugs because the one we wanted was at the bottom. The manager assumed we moved the rugs but their were people in the area when we got there. His attitude was very rude.

The workers don't have the most pleasant attitudes. One lady was partly okay; one needed some adjustments. But, we all have bad day right! It was pouring raining and I purchase an arm chair on Friday; before Mother's Day. They were having a sale; after paying for it I was told by the gentleman that I had to pick it up within 24 hrs., of purchase. Something that should have been explained prior to purchase; not after. I found that a bit deceptive. I tried to pick it up on Saturday in my car but it didn't fit. I couldn't get anyone because of the rain and because they just weren't available until Monday. I called back and got one of the ladies and she said that she would not hold it until Monday; because that don't have room. My thought though is, if I had not purchased the chair, it most likely would have still been in the store; so what would have been the difference. Plus, no one was coming out in the rain to shop at Habitat For Humanity; it was not that important. In my opinion she could have worked with me a little better; in order keep me coming back and for good advertising. I did get my neighbor to meet me there on Sunday to pick it up; because that's what she insisted upon. The terrencial 🌧 made it tuff. At least, I know now how they operate and I will take that in consideration before I purchase anything that's has to moved.

I've been consignment/thrift shopping for 65 years. Yes. That long. Even written books, conducted regional bus shopping tours and TV/radio appearances.. The prices on the so-called 'new' furniture sold here are exorbitant. Example: $700 for a dresser that would have been priced between $195- $250 most places. Price gouging! I'm really disappointed. What has become of President Carter's vision here......?
