Sloppy catering and disappointingly expensive for what you get. I worked with Alan for a housewarming party I was throwing for 25 people and wanted an 'upscale BBQ' with fancy burgers and nice apps with a charcuterie/anti-pasta tray. I got chafing dishes with boiled hotdogs, hamburgers and cheeseburgers that were just a sloppy gross mess, cheese all over the trays. The BBQ chicken was baked and sauced after it came out, not grilled or BBQ. Alan suggested no phyllo dough because it will get soggy during delivery and wait time, I agreed and took his advice; but yet, here my apps came in phyllo cups soggy as all hell. Beef crostini, on un-toasted bread.... the whole point of crostini is toasted bread. Also, there was no lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles on the sides for the burgers or dogs, and when i asked the delivery guy, he said he thought it was odd that this order didn't have it, but I distinctly recall never being asked about it. Who wouldn't want all the fixings for their burgers... it was embarrassing! The thing that hurt the most is when I called Village Catering up and spoke with Alan, he could tell i was anxious as i was throwing this big first time event (new home buyer here) and wanted to impress my friends and he asked me "How do you feel now," after we finished talking about the menu, and i said "much better, i really appreciate your help" and that was just like, i don't know, a huge shock. i felt lulled into a sense of security thinking one huge task is taken care of, only to be rudely awoken by sloppy burgers and untoasted bread. I wrote to him expressing my disappointment. I did NOT ask for any form of refund, just wanted to say how upset I was and looking for an apology or any form of acknowledgement . I waited 2 weeks for a response and got none. Disrespectful and rude. Do not cater with them.

Our daughter's wedding took place in our home this past Saturday. This was not the way it was supposed to be but she is what's being referred to as a "Covid Bride". I immediately called Alan and he went into action for me before we hung up. From renting the tent and its lighting, to chairs, high tops, the bar, and the menu, he left no stone unturned and took it all away from my shoulders. He is a treasure that I have used many times and will continue to use in the future. DO NOT HESITATE for even a moment when selecting Alan as your caterer. HIs staff is incredible and left our home in immaculate condition. He showed up on time, kept every promise he made and literally allowed me to enjoy the wedding of our daughter. He even showed up the Thursday prior to supervise the execution of the tent and everything being delivered. I cannot say enough about him, his staff and his work ethic. They don't come better than Alan!!!!

To Alan and Village catering staff, Words can't Express how grateful we are for doing such a great job with the catering for out wedding reception. Our quests raved about how delicious the food was. I was very nervous but Alan made me feel at ease. He had everything under control. Everything was perfect, was willing to help out with whatever we needed. Thank you to Alan and his staff for everything. Especially in this difficult year of covid.
