Our Epic Field Trip

We pulled in for just an overnight stop. We were not expecting pretty or any frills but with proximity to the interstate we were expecting some kind of signal. ZERO cell signal on Verizon and T-Mobile AND the park has no WiFi. I get the park has few options for strengthening the cell signal but nowadays they could pretty easily provide basic WiFi.

Stayed a little over a month. Monthly rate of $600 is the main draw. Showers were dirty and lots of weeds and ant hills in the sites. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Normally don’t use commercial RV parks, but needed electric due to the high temps. Got a reservation and arrived around 6:00 and 101 degrees. All gravel roads and pads. Green areas were weed patches, no grass to be found but there were a few trees. This RV park was about 90% long term occupants with older trailers and 5th wheels. Not what we hoped for but the electricity worked. Won’t return.

We were completely taken aback by the conditions at this place. Our site was next to what looked like an operational whiskey still surrounded by staked up trash and guarded by a large black unleashed dog. Dead grass, ant hills, trash, tarps covering rundown trailers sent us on our way. All of this nonsense came with the Good Sam seal of approval.
