Had great help

Ms. Mighty is very rude. She needs to be fired. Doesn't call people unless you call the customer service line and continue to complain. Then when asked for a supervisor, she got even more rude saying she's going to just deny my application. Horrible people.

You must be joking! 80% of the “workers” don’t work! As with government in general, we the people are just pesky citizens—a number. Wait times vary depending upon what you need. Count on at least an hour wait. Meanwhile, you can enjoy watching the slowest show on Earth. INSIST ON SPEAKING WITH AN CASEWORKER FACE TO FACE because if you fail to cross a “T” or dot an “i” they’ll reject the form. I had ONE helpful worker assist me with dignity which in the only reason I gave 2 stars. Best time to show up is either at opening or around 2pm in my experience and avoid Mondays if possible. Oh, you get yelled at if your phone rings. No drinks or food. Be assertive but be polite. Good luck!

They reject people who honestly need the help. It’s pretty sad.

I'm answering this for others with the same question. With the state- you have a record number for your case. (It is the one that starts with 09/ ... The last digit of your record correlates with the time you receive your benefits each month. The state sends out a little card with dates on it to help you figure out when your benefits will be on your card. Hope this helps someone!
Update for general public: there is one outside now. (August 2021) See photos that I uploaded recently. It is a grey box that is locked and also emptied every hour during business hours. The CAO no longer has one inside the office due to covid protocol.
Contact the change center. They will put a ticket in for your caseworker to call you back, and the ticket will not be closed until your problem is solved.
I dont know exactly what day you called- but the state observes all major holidays. The 215 number is for the office while the change center is that 877 number.
Yes. Medicaid or medical buy in if you meet the criteria.
There are no specific caseworkers except for intake, renewal, and sar. Anyone can help you with your case. Call the change center to open a ticket and request a callback
You can just go Into the office any time mon thru fri 8 to 5 and see someone
No, it is not open. The PA CAOs are closed on most Federal holidays.
I know for a fact that the Bucks County Housing Authority is not excepting applications for any housing programs. The list of people needing help has to wait until they get more money from the government to subsidize housing. Could be two years before they reopen the list. That's what they told me in 2017.
Ask someone at your local County Assistance Office. It all depends when you became eligible. You should have received a white card with all the dates you will get your food stamps for the year
If you are on Medicare, Medicaid, or get food stamps, you should qualify for a free government prepaid cell phone. You can call or go to your County assistance office or call Medicare. They will direct you to the right person to start the process.
