Does anyone know the history of the stone home at Pomeroy McMichael Creek Park. I've been able to locate the families name but no history. I'm just very curious about it's 'story.' Was it a vacation spot? A working farm? When was it built?

The stone house on the Pomeroy Preserve or the Fieldstone Farm Preserve? Just making sure we're talking about the same preserve! There were cottages and a main house on the Pomeroy Preserve up until about 10 years ago. They were repeatedly flooded and eventually all were abandoned and knocked down. Yes, the preserve is dog friendly, especially if your dog likes water. There is a trail from the parking lot that goes along the creek.
