Fantastic demo of history during the 1800. Talked with the blacksmith, tinsmith and wood worker. Learned a ton.

We brought our dog with us. He was allowed on the property but not in some buildings.
The main building was constructed in 1967, and opened that year as well.
No, however, the facility is wheelchair accessible and they have wheelchairs you can use.
I don't remember that, sorry.
There are rooms that can be reserved in the main building (the one with a moat) for events, such as wedding receptions, conferences, parties, etc.
You can try Tractor Supply Company and Walmart might have a variety of milkweed plants, as well.
I would say all grades. Very educational for everyone!
I'm pretty sure it is, when I went there in the summer they told me the times it was open but I can't quite remember, sorry I wasn't much of a help🤷
The Museum is open after Labor Day, but Railroad Town and the other living history sites are only open for special events between Labor Day and May 1st. The other buildings are open year round.
There is a little sandwich shop on the main street of Railroad Town. They serve grilled cheese, ham and cheese, etc. , along with old fashioned sarsasparilla.
